Ubuntu 11.10 sucks

Recently I have switched to Ubuntu 11.10 as a primary OS on my Dell D630 laptop. Of course, I have disabled the Unity... and surprisingly found that Gnome 3 new UI (which I have not tried before) is taking same direction as Unity. Moreover, most of system settings disappeared, default Alt-Tab switching does not work without special tweaking, no status bar. Oh, almost forgot - they are not going to continue using Compiz anymore. So the system is basically not usable without good hacking and fine tuning... It is pity, what happened with Ubuntu, I think I will switch to a different distribution or roll back to some previous version. Too bad.

I used ubuntu for 2 years now. Unity sucks. In ubuntu 11.04 I could turn it off... that was fine. In new ubuntu I found a way to get this turned off, but this just doesn't do the job.

Ubuntu 11.10 SUCKS!

I also have been using Ubuntu for the past 3 years and I just installed the 11.10 and I am very very disappointed in the developers. I guess I'll have to go back to 10.4 at least you could use it.

Bye-bye Ubuntu.
Was using it since Karmic Koala.
I now have ditched it and installed Debian 6, in my dual boot W7 (need it for work...) and beautiful Debian.

Thanks, Canonical, for killing Ubuntu.

Ubuntu 10.10 was the best. Packages were neatly arranged and you could find things where they belonged. 11.04 was sad ...but 11.10 is downright un userfriendly !!! yeah it sucks....
